Denise Lynn (Harmeyer) King, 64, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Denise a daughter of the late James and Irene Harmeyer. Denise worked in the food service industry during her working years. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed NASCAR, gardening, reading, playing games and her IPAD. Surviving are her children; Steven (Stacy) King Jr., Jennifer (Shane) Steigerwald, James (Kim) King, Sarah (Bill) Koontz; 12 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis Harmeyer, Terry (Shelly) Harmeyer, Barbara (Richard) Nelson, Sandra Macon, Susan (John) Furniss; K9 pets, Nacho and Max; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Denise was preceded in death by her son, Kristopher M. King; brothers, James Harmeyer II, Michael Harmeyer; and brother-in-law, James Macon. Service is 3 pm, Monday, August 2, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to MDA or Visiting Nurse Hospice.
