Denis Alan Williams, 74, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in Concord, California, he was a son of the late Robert and Edith Williams. Denis was a proud Navy Veteran, having served for 10 years and seeing active combat in the Vietnam War. He retired from Raytheon, after working as a Publications Engineer for 34 years. Family was the most important thing in Denis's life. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and caring grandpa to his grandchildren. Denis was a consummate foodie, and loved learning. He could be found figuring out the latest gadgets and updating his computer. He freely shared his knowledge of all things, offering advice on anything and everything. He enjoyed golfing and riding his Harley with his wife and friends. He was a member of the Goldwings, American Legion; and was a lifetime member of the Harley Davidson Riders Club. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Cheryl Williams; daughters, Jennifer (Todd) Taylor, Heather Williams; brother, Matthew Williams; grandchildren, Tyler (Sadie Lynn) Dawkins, Jenna (Trent) Plager, Alexis (Tyler Chaney) Dawkins, Alex Taylor, Mady Taylor; great-grandchildren, Silas, Timothy, Barrett, Rose, Wrenley; niece, Whitney Williams. A Celebration of Denis's Life will take place on December 7th, 2024 from 3pm - 7pm 12314 Goldeneyes Court, Fort Wayne, IN 46845. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
