Dellas Burns Sr., 73, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. Born in Clay County, Kentucky, Dellas was a son of the late Green and Marie (Ahause) Burns. Dellas served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. During his working years he worked in the flooring industry as an installer and salesman. Anyone who knew Dellas, knows he was a world class "Bullshitter" a big time wheeler and dealer and was always on the hunt for a flip or trade. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, being at the race track, and setting up at swap meets. Dellas loved meeting new people and was always making new friends. Surviving are his lifelong friend, Patty Burns; children, Dallas "Goober" (Pam) Jr., Lisa Yoquelet, Jesse (Danielle) Burns, Josh (Caylyn "Pete") Burns, Ben Burns; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Dellas was preceded in death by his 7 siblings. Service is noon, Saturday, 16, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 10 am until the service. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
