Delbert C. "Del" Allen, 76, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022. Born in Portland, Oregon, Del was a son of the late Alvin and Marybell Allen. Del served our country proudly while in the Navy. He owned and operated Del's General Home Service for over 30 years. Del was a regular at Rich's Café in New Haven and spent each day there. He enjoyed talking politics, watching sports, western movies, and keeping up on the weather. There was nothing more important than spending time with his family, especially his son Montell. Surviving are his children, Michelle (Ron) Marcum, Rachel (Jon) Brown, Crystal Wilson, Montell Allen; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brothers, George (Katherine) Allen and Claude Allen. Del was preceded in death by his brother, John Allen. Service is 12 noon, Friday, July 1, 2022 at The Branch- Emmanuel Community Church, 7227 Bittersweet Moors Dr., with calling from 10 am until the service. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Community Church. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
