David Bruce "Dave" Wilkins, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 24, 1943, Dave was the son of the late David V. and Jane (Williamson) Wilkins. Dave graduated from North Side High School in 1961, and was a retired hair stylist. Dave was a long time Toastmaster, Parliamentarian and Mason. He enjoyed helping people overcome their fear of meetings and public speaking. Dave and his wife Berniece were married in the Lutheran Church in 1963. Dave is survived by his son, David L. (Sharron) Wilkins; grandsons, Martin (Sarah), David (Molinda), Benjamin (Alexus); and 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Nichols. Dave was preceded in death by Berniece (Millette), his wife of 57 years. Service is 11 am, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at the funeral home Monday, from 3 pm to 6 pm with a Masonic Service at 6 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post #296 or Trinity Lutheran Church on Decatur Road.
