David Watts, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Northern Lakes Nursing Home after an extended battle with alzhiemers disease. He was born in Portland, Indiana on October 6, 1953. Son of the late Raymond H. and Ella J. (Arnold) Watts, of New Haven, Indiana. David married Vicki L. Mills from Fort Wayne on February 3, 1982. David was a certified forklift technician for over 30 years. He spent a lot of time outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to watch classic Western movies. He also looked out for others and would regulary help his neighbors with various projects, especially snow plowing.
David is survived by his wife Vicki Watts; son, Adam (Heather) Watts of Angola and their five children, Quincy, Oakley, Logan, Luke, and Abigail Watts; daughter, Amy (Clinton) Custer of Auburn and their four children, Landon, Tristan, Adrienne, and Maren; daughter, Anna (Brad) Kunce of Ashley and their five children, Troy, Jaymee, Peyton, Brody, and Fisher; brother, Timothy (Patricia) Watts of New Haven; sister-in-law, Deborah Watts of Auburn. Per David's wishes there will be no funeral service. Memorials may be given to DeKalb Humane Society. The family is very grateful to Heartland Hospice Care for all their service in caring for David.
