Obituary
David "Dave" Paul Smith I, 70, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born to the late Robert and Ruth (Grible) Smith in Fort Wayne on October 19, 1954. He graduated from the University of Kansas. Dave was a skilled engineer who made tools and designed and built machines.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Jeane Smith; son, David Paul Smith II; daughter, Lyndsey (Chuck) Springer; grandsons, Henry, Elliott, and Evan; brother, Bob (Lorrane) Smith; aunt, Shirley Davie; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Rebecca "Bekki" (Bolinger) Smith and sister, Cheryl Lynn Lenacher.
A memorial service will be at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (6427 Blackstone Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46818) on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses payable to Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
