David Joseph "Dave" Saxton, 60, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Crestline, Ohio, David was a son of Donald Saxton and Patricia Stine who survive. Dave earned his associates degree from Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis. He had been working for L & S Alignment in New Haven. He was an ASE Master Certified Technician who strived for excellence and knowledge. Dave had the vision and imagination to create and then build it. He was ranked as one of the top 500 mechanics in the United States. The top priority in Dave's life was his family. He enjoyed all the camaraderie, laughter, and storytelling at each family gathering and his contagious laugh will be missed. Dave enjoyed nature to its fullest and you could often see him taking care of his horses, or finding him in a deer stand. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Saxton; children, Bethany Madrigal, Isaac (Kelsey) Saxton, Josh Saxton, Joel Saxton, Jeremiah Saxton, Jonathan Saxton, Rachel Tepfer; step-children, Jason (Britnie) Jackson, Laura (Don) Klejnot; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Malachi, Sara, Charlotte, Asher, Ryder; siblings, Ann Best, Steve (Amy) Saxton, Jim (Nyla) Saxton, Deb Gavette; and special nephew Justin Carnes. Dave was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Carnes; sister, Beverly Saxton; and step-brother, Neal Carnes. Service is 1 pm, Friday, December 3, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to FW22, Southwest Conservation Club, or New Haven Conservation Club.
