David Keuneke passed away in his apartment at Fort Wayne's Georgetowne Place on September 11, 2024. He was 76. A lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, he was the firstborn son of the late Otto and Carolyn Keuneke (nèe Smallwood.) David attended Concordia Evangelical Lutheran School and Concordia High School, and was a lifetime member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. He worked for more than 50 years at the North Anthony site of Rogers Markets and its successors. Community members still recognized him for his years of service there. David enjoyed exploring books on travel and history. He was a collector of coins, trains, and aviation memorabilia. He was known for his love of walking. His kind soul and gentle ways brought out an innocence that drew others to him. He was well liked by many and loved by even more. David will be greatly missed. David is survived by his brothers, Doug and Thomas, and nephew, Matthew. A graveside service will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
