David L. Karau, 86, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Norristown, PA to the late Theodore and Marion Karau. David worked as a project manager for Warehouser and Tri-West Packaging in California. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. David loved playing guitar and singing folk songs, telling jokes, watching football on Sundays, and most of all spending time with his wife and family. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Karau of Fort Wayne; daughters, Kathy Brown of Boise, ID, and Joelle (Michael) Boykin of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Jodi (Dimitrios) Gogos of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Sarah and Maddox Boykin, Nikolas, Kristofer, and Isaak Gogos. Service is 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Ln, with calling two hours prior beginning at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
