David Allen Ferguson, 75, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Portland, Indiana, David was the son of the late Robert and Thelma Lykins. David graduated from Jay County High School. David proudly served our country for 36 years, as an Air Force veteran earning the rank of Master Sergeant. During his time in the military he was an Aircraft Mechanic. Following his retirement from the Air Force, David worked maintenance for Lutheran Hospital for 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion 157, Eagles Post 3512, where he served as past president, and the Army/Navy Club. What did David like to do? Golf, Golf, and Golf. He loved traveling with his wife, and spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Judy Ferguson; sons, David (Mel) Ferguson, Heath Ferguson; grandchildren, Curtis, Alex, Olivia, Zach; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Khloe; and sister, Rosey Moore. David was preceded in death by his grandson, Isaiah; and brothers, Bill and Phillip Lykins. Service is 11 am, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at the funeral home, Monday, February 8, 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Isaiah Initiative 18.
