Fansler

David John Fansler, 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Reverend Robert Glenn Fansler and Violet Maxine Fansler.
David graduated from Southwest Allen County Schools in 1981. He attended Fort Wayne Bible College and graduated in 1986 with a Christian Education diploma. He became a licensed minister of the Missionary Church in 1986. In 1986, he became a youth pastor for Faith Missionary Church. He married Dawn Marie Crane on December 5, 1992. He started working for SWAC Schools in March of 1992 as a custodian. He retired 31 years later on June 1, 2025. He loved volleyball and played in college and church and became a licensed referee around 1992. He had a passion for food and how different foods were made. He was very creative and enjoyed calligraphy and working on various art projects. He even worked on some art projects for Faith Missionary Church.
David is survived by his wife, Dawn Fansler, and his daughter, Rebecca Dawn Fansler, born in 1997.
