David O. Bower, age 86, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 9, 1940, in Aurora, Illinois, to the late Verne and Oral Bower.

David proudly served in the United States military.

He grew up with a strong agricultural background and enjoyed raising dairy cattle in his younger years. Later in life, he worked in retail sales before retiring. David was especially known for his passion for gardening and became a respected Master Gardener. Many friends, neighbors, and those who knew him admired the time, care, and knowledge he shared through his gardening. It was one of the things he truly enjoyed and became well known for.

David is survived by his four children and their spouses; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his sister


He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
