Danièle Suzanne (Dunton) Pence, 55, passed away on February 1, 2026. Born March 3, 1970, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Gary Dunton and Susan Sievers Dunton. Danièle was a cheerleader, dancer, volunteer, art and design enthusiast, and a devoted daughter, sister, wife, friend, and mother. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early twenties, she faced life's challenges with strength and determination, living as fully as possible.
Danièle is survived by her husband, Gerald Pence of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Ed (Jennifer) Dunton of South Carolina; twin brother, Nick Dunton of Vermont; sisters, Riah Dunton (Michael Bratta) and Sarabeth Dunton both of Illinois; niece, Eden Dunton (Izak Lewandowski); nephews, Edward and Andrew Dunton; and step-children, Aaron Pence of Oklahoma and Julie Pence of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Dunton, and her companion dog, Reef. Per Danièle's request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis research through a charity of your choice.
