Daniel Roy Zietlow, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Daniel was a son of the late Orville and Katherine Zietlow. Daniel was a true and proud American that served our country in the Air Force and Navy for 20 years. During those years, he also served as a civilian contractor in logistics for a total of 36 years, prior to his retirement. During those years, he never missed a day of work. Throughout his time in the military, he was a registered diver, and a rescue swimmer. Daniel enjoyed life to the fullest and was always willing to try a new adventure or activity. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, boating, bicycling, and ballroom dancing. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Zietlow; children, Lisa (Robert) Schaar, Michael (Tracy) Zietlow, Tamara (Mark) Lipps, Larry (Tobi) Jackson, J. Wes (Kimberly) Jackson, Rachel (Neil) Rush; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, David Zietlow. Daniel was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Carpenter. Celebration of Daniel's Life is 11 am, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with calling one hour prior.
