Daniel Jay "Dan" Simpson, 61, of Fort Wayne died Monday, December 18, 2017 as a result of a car accident. Born June 1, 1956 in Fort Wayne, he was a son to the late Donald J. and Jane E. (Hoeppner) Simpson. Dan graduated from Northrup H.S. in 1974. He spent many years as a dry-waller. Most recently he was a delivery driver for the airport. Dan was a golfer and bowler who enjoyed faithfully watching Jeopardy.

Surviving are his sisters, Julie (Rodney) Knox and Jill (Jeff) Hoelle. He was the best uncle to Craig; Steven; Katie; Colleen; Kevin and Cindy. He was a great uncle to Sofia; Mackenzie; Isaac; Jordan; Andrew; Cooper; Scarlet; Nadia; Sawyer; Keagan and Kai. He is also survived by many family and friends. He will be missed by all. Now he can hit that hole-in-one and bowl that 300!

Memorial service is 6 PM Friday, December 22, 2017 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street with visitation from 4 PM until time of service.
