It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Ledsome, a beloved husband, and father, who departed this world on April 15th, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Akron, Ohio, Daniel lived a life dedicated to educating others. A near-lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana, he dedicated his career to teaching college mathematics, nurturing countless young minds with his patience, warmth, and impeccable Dad-humor. Daniel was a passionate Cubs fan, as well as a big fan of bowling, however his favorite past time was watching over-the-top action movies, always willing to laugh and have a good time with friends, and family, all to the backdrop of explosions and cheesy one-liners. While Daniel has joined his beloved wife Elizabeth in the afterlife, he is survived by his children, daughter Jennifer (Jake); sons, Eric (Amy), Daniel (Lauren), and Matthew (Sydney); his stepson Jacob Monhaut; and stepdaughter Jaime (Ron) Reed; as well as all of his cherished grandchildren. While no funeral service has been planned, a celebration of Daniel's life will be held on his 72nd birthday, June 25th, 2025, at a to-be-determined location in the Hobart/Portage, IN area.
