Daniel L. Hathaway, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday January 30th, 2026. Dan graduated from Garrett High School where he was a cross-country runner. Dan was loyal to the Chicago Cubs and a devoted Indiana Pacer and Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed Notre Dame football and IU basketball and football. He supported the Fort Wayne Komets for many years and was even a season ticket holder at one time. Dan was an animal lover and animals loved him.

Dan is survived by his wife, Sharon “Sherry”; mother, Freda Hathaway’ sister, Debbie (Dave) Muzzillo; brother, Bobby (Patty) Hathaway; sister in law, Becky Penrod; nephews, Chad Muzzillo, and Brad Hathaway.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hathaway.

Funeral services will take place on Friday February 6, 2026 at 11 am with visitation beginning 1 hour prior at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. A visitation will also take place on Thursday February 5, 2026 from 2-4 and 5-7 pm. A private burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials may be directed to Humane Fort Wayne or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
