Daniel Theodore Dager, 75, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025. Born on February 1, 1950, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dan was a son of the late Dr. C.J. and Peggy (Sonday) Dager Jr.
Dan attended North Side High School and later earned his degree from American University. A true patriot and humanitarian, Dan was deeply committed to philanthropy and service. He took great pride in his work with the federal government, from which he retired in 2011, dedicating his career to the betterment of others.
Dan is survived by his siblings, Judy (Don) Lawrence, Susan (Rich) Motz, and Patty Tyler; his sister-in-law, Pamela Dager; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve Dager; his sister, Peggy Geisleman; and his brothers-in-law, Terry Geisleman and David Tyler.
A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at a later date. In honor of his love for animals, memorial donations may be made to Humane Fort Wayne. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
