Daniel Robert Coughlin, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday November 2, 2026. Dan was born in Detroit, MI., resided in Chesterton, IN before settling in Fort Wayne.
He served honorably in the United States Air Force. Dan worked as a machinist. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and especially his grandkids.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane; daughters, Carrie Louise (Brian) Richards; Emily (Gerrod) Capps, Hillary (Adam) Yoder; grandchildren, Ethan, Daison, Jova, Andrew, Logan, Hannah, and Charlotte.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday November 9th, 2026 at 11:00 am with calling 1 hour prior, at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road. There will also be a visitation on Sunday November 8th,2026 from 2:00-5:00 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Dan will be laid to rest at St Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Chesterton, at a later date.
