Cynthia Ruth (Landmann) Posey, 80, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. Born in Fond du Lac and raised in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, Cindi was the daughter of the late Paul and Edith (Clark) Landmann. Following high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin where she met and married her husband, Horace G. Posey, Jr., a doctoral student. They moved to the University of Toledo where she completed her bachelor's degree in English before finally planting roots in Fort Wayne and raising two children.

Cindi was a full-time homemaker until her children graduated high school. Later in life, she retired from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development where she worked as an administrative and legal assistant. She loved volunteering for The Literacy Alliance. She enjoyed photographing lighthouses and nature and could be found with her camera in many of the parks in Fort Wayne. She was an avid reader, especially of Agatha Christie mysteries. She was a dog lover and enjoyed walking her dog daily in the neighborhood.

Surviving are her children, David (Kerrie) Posey and Claire Wheaton, and grandchildren, Sarah and Benji Posey. Also surviving are her three siblings: Paul Landmann, Douglas (Darlene) Landmann, and Stephanie (Paul) Kennedy. Her dachshund, Penny, has been adopted by the Posey family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace, and her brother, James Landmann.

A memorial service is scheduled for 3 pm, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 1 pm until the time of the service.
