Obituary
Courtney Elizabeth Conley, 43, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 unexpectedly. She was born in Watertown, WI, on August 1, 1980.
Courtney was a spirited child who loved animals, the green earth, and her teddy bear, Bear. She was active in basketball and track in junior high in Cedar Falls, IA. She was the valedictorian of her GED class of 500 students and was chosen as a speaker for her graduation ceremony. She had a deep passion for music and a large circle of friends. Courtney had a green thumb, and her knowledge of and advice on plant cultivation were highly valued and will be missed by both her friends and their plants. Courtney was magically gifted as a mother; her love for her son, Drake, and her friends, was a brilliant light. Courtney gave her love indiscriminately, and it was beautiful to behold.
Courtney is survived by her mother, Lori Conley of Des Moines, IA; son, Drake Worman of Ft. Wayne, IN; brother, Justin Conley of Madison, WI; sisters, Summer Conley of Des Moines, IA, and Wendy Farni-Arredondo of Dubuque, IA, and her paternal grandmother, Shirley Conley of Anderson, SC. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Conley, and her grandparents, Earl and Janet Holland, Millard Conley, and Clyde and Marie Stierman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2023. Viewing is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Closed casket visitation is from 1:00-2:00 PM, and the service begins at 2:00 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A gathering for family and friends will be held at 4:00 pm following the service at Shoaff Park (6401 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal rescue/welfare organization.
