Constance L. Gerstung, age 85, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late James and Esther Hay. Connie worked as a public school teacher, teacher's aide, and most recently as a library clerk. She also served alongside her husband as a pastor's wife. Connie was a member of several Baptist Churches currently attending Calvary Baptist of Fort Wayne and in her free time she enjoyed scrapbooking and playing piano. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Walter Gerstung of Fort Wayne; daughters, Bethanne (Joseph) Keller of Abilene, TX and Bonnie Gerstung of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Katherine Fitch and Ellianna (Raphael) Forrer; great-grandson, Emmet; and sisters, Gwendolyn Long and Marilyn (Marlin) Habecker. Service is 10:30 am, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2024 at the funeral home.
