Colleen Jane Rowlett, 93, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, August 16, 2021. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Colleen was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lela Kleeberg. Colleen graduated from Concordia High School and earned her masters degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for the VA Hospital for many years prior to her retirement. Following her retirement, she became a nursing instructor at Ivy Tech and Parkview Hospital. She was a life long member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was active in mission work. She was also active in the Red Hatters, Erin's House, and the Carriage House. Colleen loved going to the farmers market, traveling to Florida and being on the beach, playing Bingo, and going to the casino. Surviving are her children, Deborah (Larry) Wender, Doug (Mallie) Rowlett; 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Colleen was preceded in death by her son, Robert Rowlett, and brothers, Eugene and Robert Kleeberg. Service is 11 am, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church with calling one hour prior. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
