The one and only "The Original" Cole Thomas Powers, 22, entered eternal glory after a hard fought battle with brain cancer on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cole was a honeymoon baby, the son of Anthony "Tony" and Beth (Loomis) Powers. Cole graduated from Carroll High School and was a super fast and competitive track and cross country runner. Cole attended Indiana State, but with his health giving him issues he, returned home. Cole worked full time with Shambaugh and Sons in their sales department. From an early age, Cole had the innate desire to work and earn money to accomplish the goals he had in mind. Along with working full time, he was a day trader, sports better, and was always on the look out for a quick buy and flip. Cole's family was his number one priority. Watching and hanging out with his younger brother and buddy Max was important to him. Cole wanted a lake home and his hard work afforded him that opportunity. While at the lake house he purchased his yellow lab Clark and oh did they enjoy each other. Cole and his dad enjoyed fishing. There were so many family memories made on the beach, including Hawaii, where Cole and his family traveled to last year. Cole had an amazing personality, and his actions and the memories made will forever be remembered by his family and friends. Surviving are his parents, Tony and Beth Powers; siblings, Hadley and Maxton; grandma, Janet (Kevin) Galbreath; great-grandma, Marcy Lothamer; aunts and uncles, Carrie (Jim) Hyde, Josh (Jenna) Loomis, Sean (Misty) Powers; along with his nine cousins. Cole was preceded in death by his grandpa, Steven Loomis. A Celebration of Cole's Life will be 11 am, Friday, September 15, 2023 at Grace Gathering, 3157 Minnich Road, New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Thursday, September 14, 2023 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street from 3 pm to 7 pm. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
