Cleodis Brown, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Also known as Pap, Pappy and the jovial Happy Pappy, he was born in Lima, Ohio, and was a son of the late Theotis and Annie Thelma Brown. Pap served our country proudly as a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #148. During his working years, Pappy worked for O'Neil's Glass, Newell Manufacturing, and Wayne Metals. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, singing karaoke, and watching basketball and football. He was a very giving man and would donate to many organizations he felt passionate about. Surviving are his daughters: Antawana Ingol, Shawntell Crews, Tiesha (Dusty McClure) Campbell, Monique Brown, Katrina (Adam Smith) Brown; grandchildren: BreAnna Ingol, Brinisha Morris, BraAndra Morris, Austin Brown, Gavin Brown, Keaghan Wilkinson, Vanessa Bird, Ethan Brown, Aubrey Brown, Tre'Lando Crews, Ze'Anna Dickerson; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings: Annie Mae Wilson, Lillie Watson; sister-in-law: Gayle Swain; brother-in-law: Michael Hunt; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Pap was preceded in death by his siblings: Sam Brown, Jimmy Brown, Donnell Brown Shirley Hunt; nieces: Shanita Hunt and Latascia Wright. Service is 11 am, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 9 am until the service. Burial with Army Honors in Marion National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
