Clara Marie VerHey, 79, went home to her Lord on Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Raymond and Ruth Stoepker. Clara was a 1960 graduate of Crestview High School in Grand Rapids and went on to be a driver for several companies, including taxi services and the Fort Wayne PTC bus company. She was a member of New Horizons Fellowship of New Haven. Clara is survived by her children, Robert E. Lee VerHey of Fort Wayne, and Mary Theresa (Shawn) Hoffman of Saint Joe, IN; three grandchildren, Brianna, Andrew, and Clarissa; and her ex-husband, Richard VerHey of Fort Wayne. A memorial service 12:00 pm on Sunday, November 7, 2021, her 80th birthday, at New Horizons Fellowship of New Haven, IN with dinner to follow.
