Clara Lou Stucky, 97, of Fort Wayne met Jesus face to face on Saturday, November 9, 2024. She was born to the late Simon and Gladys (Gorrell) Stucky in Fort Wayne, IN on November 20, 1926. At 15 years of age, she trusted Jesus Christ to be her Savior and Lord. By age 16 she knew God wanted her to be a missionary. Clara Lou graduated from Woodburn High School in 1944. She graduated from Fort Wayne Bible Institute in 1947 after training to be a missionary. In 1951 she graduated from Swedish Covenant School of Nursing in Chicago and worked there as a Visiting Nurse. She served as a missionary nurse for 19 years in Gabon, Africa. After returning to Ft. Wayne she worked as a nurse at Turtle Creek Nursing Home and long term at Lutheran Hospital. She was a loving, caring, generous person, an active member of First Missionary Church in Fort Wayne. She volunteered with Child Evangelism Fellowship, Fort Wayne's Crisis Pregnancy Center, and at the Matthew 25 Clinic. She was an avid reader and enjoyed recording family genealogy. Along with her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her stepmother, Edna (Wolf) Stucky, sisters Ferne (Stucky) Currie, Mary Ann Stucky, brothers John Stucky, Maurice Stucky and nephew John Currie. She is survived by her nieces, Beth Shaw, Debbie (Eric) Mansfield, Vicki (Mel) Budreau, Jan (Doug) Cox and nephew Rob (Kay) Currie. She also loved having many great and also great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. at First Missionary Church, 701 W. Rudisill Blvd, Ft.
