Cindy Hertel, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Lutheran Life Villages South Anthony. She was born on February 4, 1951 to the late Eugene Ball and Ione (Ries) Ennis. Cindy graduated from Van Wert High School in 1969. She worked for Tokhiem for 28 years. It then was bought and became Dresser-Wayne where she worked for another 10 years. Cindy loved doing anything she could to make others to be happy. She was a member of the American Legion. Every year donated several dozen cakes and pies to support the Veterans and local churches. Cindy made everyone feel loved and did anything she could to help others. She touched so many peoples lives as they touched hers in return. In the last 9 months, she had four angels that gave her all the love and care they had to give. A heartfelt thank you to Melissa, Stacy, Mary, and Evelyn.

Cindy is survived by her siblings, Sue (Stan) Senkewitz of Brooklyn, MI, Sharon (Fred Bernardin) Ball of Gulf Breeze, FL, Gloria Kearnes of Troy, OH, and William Ball of AZ; half sisters, Patti Shulters of Woodstock, GA, Barbara Dumas of Boiling Springs, SC, and Sherry Mullinax of Covington, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Thompson and Allyson Landgraf both of Fort Wayne; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her half sister, Rose Hammond.

Upon Cindy's wishes there will be no services.
