Christine “Chris” Marie Rainey, 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. She was born to Chere Kay Stirlen-Heck and the late William Robert Rainey Sr in Fort Wayne on March 6, 1963. She graduated from Wayne High School. She currently worked at Bright Star as a home health aide and previously worked at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center and Saint Anne Home. Chris loved animals, especially her beloved pets.

Chris is survived by her mother, Chere (John Heck) Stirlen-Heck; brothers, William “Bill” Rainey Jr. and Mickey (Sandra) Rainey; and uncles, Harmon (Jennifer) Hensley and Curtis (Jan) Rainey. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruth and Harmon Hensley; sister, Kelly K. Rainey; and uncle, Brian Hensley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
