Charles Lee Thomas, 12, of Fort Wayne, passed away on July 24th, 2023, surrounded by his family. Charlie was born in Fort Wayne to his loving parents, Scott and Laurie Thomas. Charlie was excited to start his 6th grade year at Jefferson Middle School. He recently received his Arrow of Light from the Cub Scouts making the transition to becoming a Scout with Troop 411. Some of Charlie's interests included playing Fortnite, Minecraft, and Chess. He loved dinosaurs, especially Jurassic World Lego sets and movies. His favorite clothes were camo outfits. Charlie gave the gift of life to others through being a donor with the Indiana Donor Network. Charlie was a funny, sweet, thoughtful young man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Charlie is survived by his parents, Scott and Laurie; brothers, Robert and George; grandparents, James Thomas of Clio, MI, and Terry (Terri) Brubaker of Sterling Heights, MI; aunts, Karen (Jason) Manley of Lexington, KY, and Jill (Jeff) Talant of Macomb, MI; cousins, Christopher and Brooklyn Talant of Macomb, MI; as well as many, many friends and fellow Scouts.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jeanne Thomas (Perkins). A memorial service for Charlie will take place on Sunday July 30th 2023 at 4:00 pm, with calling beginning at 1:oo pm, all at Gethsemane Lutheran Church , 1505 Bethany Lane. Preferred memorials may be directed to the Anthony Wayne Area Council, BSA.
