Charles Storms, Jr., 89, of Fort Wayne died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital. Always a man of his word, Charles dearly loved his children; grandchildren; and wife of 70 years. He was born January 3,1928 in Kettle Island, KY to the late Charles Sr. and Amanda (Hensley) Storms. Charles was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a retired iron worker with Local #147. He is a member of First Assembly of God Church and Ekklesia in Harlan.

Surviving is his wife, Iris Joan Storms; children, Kimberly (Mark) Smedal; Monty (Terri) Storms; Tamera (Greg) Long; and Deanna Storms; grandchildren, Tony (Meggen) Smedal; Chris (Jena Smith) Smedal; PFC John (Allie) Smedal; Isaac Charles Storms; Olivia Storms; Ethan Storms; and Matthew Owens; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Smedal and Melody Smedal. He was preceded in death by son, Charles Michael Storms; grandson, Trevor Robert Bussen and three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral is 4 PM Sunday, December 3, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church 1400 W. Washington Center Road with visitation one-hour prior. Visitation also from 5 – 7 PM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street.
