Charles "Chuck" K. Black, age 51, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Huntington, IN. He was born in Columbia City, IN to the late Jack and Sandra Black. Chuck worked on a shrimp trawler in Alabama and more recently in construction, masonry, and as a painter. He was a member of the VFW post 2689 Auxiliary and was an avid fisherman. Chuck is survived by his daughter, Cecelia (Eric) Troyer; two grandchildren Jasper and Jude; siblings, Jacqueline (Erland) Maki of Fort Wayne, Tim (Cynthia) Black of Roanoke, IN; several nieces and a nephew. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Black. A memorial service is 5:00 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
