Charles “Chuck” Joseph Grueb 71, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2026. He was born August 20, 1954 in Fort Wayne, Indiana a son of the late Charles J. and Marianne (Barkle) Grueb. He grew up in Harlan, Indiana where he later raised his five children.
Chuck was well known in the community and will be missed by many. He had a fascination of Harlan history and enjoyed collecting Harlan memorabilia. He worked in the flooring industry for over 50 years, and for most of those years he was employed by John Klopfenstein. He spent 30 years coaching little league at the Harlan Park in which he developed many lifelong friendships along the way. He was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams included IU basketball, Indianapolis Colts, and New York Yankees. He loved fishing, golfing, antiques, and bottle collecting. Some of his fondest memories were going to antique shows with one of his best friends, family fishing trips in TN, late nights at the ball diamond, and good quality time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Pamela (Myers) Grueb; their five children Amy (Doug) Raskosky, Chad (Kelly) Grueb, Robert (Jill) Grueb, Jessica (Justin) Wilhelm, Joseph Grueb; nine grandchildren: Alli, Owen, Chloe, Delainy, Ashley, Christopher, Dylan, Emma and Henry; three great grandchildren: Tristan, Adalina, and Jasper. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Mike Warstler and brother-in-law Dave York.
