Obituary

Charles Andrew Enea, 79, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on April 25,1948, in Flemington, New Jersey, to Charles Anthony Enea and Emma Catherine (Seals) Enea. Known as “Chuck” in Indiana and “Andy” in New Jersey.
He was a graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ. Chuck received his BSME from Tri-State College 1973, Angola, IN and later received his Associate of Applied Science degree from Ivy Tech, Fort Wayne, IN 1997. He was a licensed private pilot and later became a licensed commercial pilot and a parachutist. Chuck was a Professor at Ivy Tech, Fort Wayne where he taught Industrial Technology. He spent some of his free time volunteering. He was a Master Gardener at Purdue University, Fort Wayne. He served Acres Land Trust as a Trail Steward and on the Land Protection Committee. He also served as a Trail Steward and Master Gardener for Fort Wayne Parks as well as Master Naturalist of Indiana. Chuck loved spending time outdoors flying, skydiving, biking, hiking, kayaking, and gardening. Whether in the air, in the classroom, or tending to his garden, he pursued his passions with enthusiasm and shared his knowledge with those around him.
Charles will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of learning and teaching, and the care he gave to both people and the natural world.
Charles is survived by his son, James (Cherri) Enea of Fishers, IN. Granddaughters Christy (Jen) Rodefelt of Parrish, FL; Chelsea Seal and Britani Enea both of Pendleton, IN, as well as four great-grandchildren, Brayden Vaughn, Ezra, Hudson, and Savannah Seal. He is also survived by his brother, David Enea; and his niece, Heather Enea-Mohan and nephew, Adam Enea. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his beloved daughter, Teresa Enea and his brother, John Enea.
We will honor Chuck’s life on September 22nd, 2026 with a Memorial Service in the Chapel at Highland Park Cemetery located at 2403 East Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825 beginning at 12 Noon. Please stop in and share with us your memories of Chuck. Final words and closing prayer will be offered by Chuck’s son, Jim at 1:30pm
