Charles R. Bell, age 90, passed away December 20, 2018 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Merrill and Mary Bell. Charles spent his entire life working in the automotive business owning his own dealership, Bell Auto Sales. He served his country as a member of the US Marine Corp. Charles will be remembered for being devoted and hardworking. He loved antiques, enjoying nature, and most of all his grandchildren. Charles is survived by his sons, Steven Bell and David Bell both of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Jennifer (Doug) Brand-Davis of Kendallville, IN, Erin (Andrew) Paino of Fort Wayne; Melissa (Michael) Schneider of Spencerville, IN, and Jessica (Mel) Hamed of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Charles S. Bell of Clearwater, FL and Shawn (Christy) Asher of Hicksville, OH; and 7 great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Louise Bell and his sister, Billie Rainey. Service is 10:30 am, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St, with calling one-hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Huntertown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
