CHARLENE M. FREIBURGER, 84, of Fort Wayne was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 19, 2017 while surrounded by her family. Charlene was born on October 18, 1932 in Fort Wayne to the late Charles and Emma (Forsythe) Henkenius.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School of Fort Wayne. Charlene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and past president of her UAW union through International Harvester where she worked for ARA Canteen Service. Charlene loved life and her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her Bible study group, attending church, singing hymns, cooking, and gardening.

Surviving is her son, Chuck Freiburger of Ovid, MI; daughters, Carolyn Jannings, and Renee (Jimmy) Branton, both of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Keith Freiburger and Ed Freiburger; three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral Service is 11 A.M. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street with calling one hour prior, Chaplain Forrest Tabor officiating. Calling also 2 P.M.–5 P.M. Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
