Charlene E. Bloom, 88, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Charlene was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Boyer. Charlene graduated from North Side High School. She was a secretary and office lady during most of her working years. Charlene was a life time member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring grandmother to her family. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. Charlene developed a very special bond with her great-grandson Trace. She looked forward to her monthly meeting with the North Side girls. Surviving are her children, John (Deb) Bloom, JoAnn (Mike) Hively, Jennifer (Dave) Kruse; grandchildren, Zachary (Brenna) Kruse, Brittany (Chris) Andrews, Alexander Kruse, Jerimiah (Lisa) Bloom, Shawn Bloom, Valerie (Chris) Harrison, Kara (Richard) Sites; and 8 great-grandchildren. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband John Bloom; son, James Bloom; and two siblings. Service is 1 pm, Friday, May 14, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 11 am until the service. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Trinity English Lutheran Church or Turnstone.
