Carole A. (Mooney) Alter, 82 of Fort Wayne passed away March 26, 2017 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1934 in Louisville, KY to James Mooney and Helen Marie (Hester). She was a bookkeeper at Dr. Phillip McKean DDS. for 6 years. Carole graduated from IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN. She was on Chancellors List in 1983 for outstanding scholastic achievement. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, she loved shopping at COSTCO, knitting, she was a professional roller-skater, and was very active in the church with the PALS group.
Surviving relatives: Two sons, Steve (Bethany) Call of Boca Raton, FL, Doug (Heather) Call of Naples, FL. 2 daughters Heather Shie of Fort Wayne, Susan Gensic of Evansville, IN. Three brothers and four sisters, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by first husband William Douglas Call, second husband Eugene Allen Alter and a brother Joe Mooney.
Memorial service Thursday 7:00pm March 30, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church 7211 Stellhorn Road Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Memorial visitation will be from 6-7pm at the church.
