Carol Ann (Durnell) Cummins, 83, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Carol was a daughter of the late George and Marie Roos. Carol attended South Side High School. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring grandmother to her family. During her working years she worked for Kingsford and American Sealants, Inc. prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading, playing games, and had a love of nature and road trips with her late husband Gene. Surviving are her children, Jeff (Pat O'Brian) Durnell, Jennifer (Paul) Alexander, Patricia (Jim Stratton) Johnston; step-children, Gary (Christy) Cummins, Richard (Kathy) Cummins, Phillip (Patricia) Cummins; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Eugene "Gene" Cummins; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Buddy Roos, Valerie Matson, GeorgeJean Benecke, Marleen Zaremba, and Sandra Tomkinson. A Celebration of Carol's Life will be 7 pm, Friday, August 26, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 5 pm until the services. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Paralyzed Veterans.
