Carol M Ahlersmeyer, 95, of Kendallville, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away at Orchard Pointe on Thursday January 20th. Carol was born to the late Homer and Myrtle Deventer in Auburn, IN. She married the late James Ahlersmeyer in 1946. Carol worked for Montgomery Ward Department Store in Fort Wayne and was a lifelong member of Leo United Methodist Church. Carol loved her family and especially playing with the grandkids and great-grandkids.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Merle) Steller; sons, Mark (Terri) Ahlersmeyer, and Dennis (Debi) Ahlersmeyer; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother M. Burnell Deventer. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Memorial service for Carol will take place on Friday, February 4th at 12:30 pm with calling 1 hour prior at Leo United Methodist Church (13527 Leo Road). Burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be directed to Leo United Methodist Church or Heart to Heart Hospice.
