Carmen Jean LaRue, 54, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday January 7th, at home. She was born in Warsaw, IN on Dec. 22nd, 1967. Carmen and her husband Scott served the Lord internationally in Japan and Russia for 14 years, then churches in the United States. Most recently, together with Scott, she helped establish LifeVenture Group. Carmen worked at Carroll Middle School as an assistant to the Special Needs Teacher. She was an avid reader who loved nature and enjoyed going for walks with family and friends. Some of her favorite activities included anything her children were involved with, especially her boy's soccer games, and listening to her daughter share stories and songs. A defining aspect of her spiritual journey was hosting groups in her home.
Carmen is survived by husband of 31 years, Scott; children, Anna, Timothy, Daniel, and Benjamin; father, Richard Stouder; sister, Jennifer (Jason) Hefner; and 2 nieces and many nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Stouder.
We will celebrate Carmen's life on Friday, January 14th at 10 am with calling one hour prior at The River Christian Church (1515 Magnavox Way, Fort Wayne, IN 46804), there will also be calling on Thursday, January 13th from 4-7pm also at the church. Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery Garrett , IN. Preferred memorials in Carmen's honor may be directed to
