BYRON (Barney) C. Harvey, 89, passed away at his home Thursday, August 3, 2017. Barney was the son of the late Arnold and Lillian (Miles) Harvey. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Puget Sound. He retired from both ITT and Magnavox in 1990 where he worked in the Engineering Departments. He loved animals, especially his horses and enjoyed boating, tennis, and golf. He was an easy going, home-body and wonderful husband and father.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara; son, Bruce; sister, Marsena Bobay; and grandsons, Chad Smeltzley and Trevor Goforth. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Cheryl Lynn Smeltzley and Michele Goforth; and sister, Betty Osborne.

Memorial Visitation is from 4 PM to 7 PM Monday, August 7, 2017 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street.
