Buddy D. Grindle, 88, of Fort Wayne passed away on Jan 22, 2021 at his home. Born in Huntington, IN, to Russel and Rachel Grindle, Buddy spent his formative years in Warsaw, IN, eventually moving to Fort Wayne and working at W.S. Shamban for 38 years. Buddy enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and growing tomatoes.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; children, Michelle Davis, Tim (Michele) Grindle, Cheryl (Ken) Richardson, Mary (Harry) Johnston, Elaine ( Eric Riffle) Schmidt, David (Trisha Thompson) Schmidt, and son in law Jerry Butler, 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Butler; brothers Alan and Keith Grindle. A memorial service for Buddy will take place on January 30th at 1 pm with calling 1 hour prior at Parkwood Church of God (3320 Trier Road). Preferred memorials in Buddy's honor may be directed to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission or Parkwood Church of God. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens at a later date.
