Bruce Michael Willibey, age 69, passed away on March 22, 2026, at his home in Huntertown, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Gilbert and Dorothy Willibey.

Bruce worked for 39 years at Rae Magnetic Wire as a maintenance mechanic, where he was known for his ability to fix anything. His skill and problem‑solving spirit made him a trusted and respected colleague.

A true Hot Rod enthusiast, Bruce loved working on cars and could often be found in the garage. He also had a deep love for animals and cared for them. Above all, Bruce cherished his family. He will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Papa.”

Bruce is survived by his wife of 31 years, Deanna Willibey; children, Meghan (Jeremiah) Stewart, Pamela (Robb) Gerken, Lorie (Doug Myers) Marcum, Benjamin (Alisa) Boldt, and Daniel (Amanda) Boldt; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Axton.

Service is 11:00 am Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 am. Calling also 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, March 30 at the funeral home. Burial at Huntertown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parkview Home Healthcare and Hospice or the DeKalb Humane Society.
