Bruce Lightfoot, 80, of Wolcottville, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Indianapolis, Bruce was a son of the late Milo and Geneva Lightfoot. Bruce graduated from Kokomo High School, class of 1960, and earned his bachelor's degree in business from Indiana University. Bruce served our country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his working years, Bruce served as a controller for multiple businesses in Fort Wayne, Florida, and Bloomington. Bruce's love for antiques guided him to start his own antique business called Lightfoot Antiques. Anyone who knew Bruce knows he was always keeping busy. He loved his job, loved teaching others, enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, golfing, and fishing. But he especially loved rooting for the Indiana Hoosier Basketball team, and being at the lake with family and friends. Bruce was a former member of Brookside Church, a current member of St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, where he was active and just recently returned from a mission trip in Cuba. He was also a member of IU Foundation, American Legion #86, Grand Lodge of F & AM #241 in Celina, and the National Parks Association. Surviving are his wife, Connie Lightfoot; children, Bruce Lightfoot, Beth (Heath) Bearman; step-children, Michelle Salazar, George Erik (Lindsey) Moore; grandchildren, Cruz Rodriguez, Riza (Tyler) Hartman, Reyna Rodriguez, Rica Rodriguez, Remi Bearman, Enzo Bearman, Alexander Lightfoot, Allison Lightfoot, Logan DeLong, Ella DeLong, Sophia Salazar, Magnolia Moore, G.W. Moore, Jude Moore; great-granddaughter, Reese Hartman; brother-in-law John Padfield; and sister-in-law, Sue (Tammy) Taylor. Bruce was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Lightfoot; and sister, Joyce Padfield. Service will be 11 am, Saturday, June 3, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1100 N. Main Street in Celina, Ohio with calling one hour prior. Calling also on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street Fort Wayne, Indiana. Entombment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran church Mission Program.
