Obituary

Bruce Edward Exner, 88, of New Haven, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Albert and Mary Exner and graduated in 1950 from Central High School. Bruce served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Fort Wayne Structural Steel and was a faithful member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Exner of New Haven, IN; children, David (Tracy) Exner of Fort Wayne, Daniel (Carolyn) Exner of Fort Wayne, and Dianne (John) Joustra of New Haven, IN; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Norma Cramer, Martha Jean Rock, Pat McNeal, and Neal Exner. Service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 14318 Lima Rd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St.. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
