Brian Craig Thornson, age 60, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Len and Margaret Thornson. Brian graduated from Purdue University where he played football and later became a member of the John Purdue Club. Brian worked over 33 years as a State Farm Agent. He had a great love of sports, playing and coaching hockey, and was an avid golfer. Most of all he was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his children. Brian is survived by his children, Kaylee (Scott) Buhr and Trevor Thornson both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Mike (Kathy) Thornson of Fort Wayne and Wendy Thornson-Johnson of Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Humane or Fort Wayne Amateur Hockey Association.
