Breanna Ashlee Doughman, 29, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Born on October 9, 1996 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to her parents, Steven and Kricket Lynn Doughman.

She was a true girly girl. She loved anything that was glittery and her favorite colors were pink, black, purple, blue and yellow.

In 2001 she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome and Mitochondrial disease. She outlived her life expectancy her parents kept her active through therapy, the Special Olympics and cheerleading.

She grew up in New Haven, Indiana and graduated in 2015 from New Haven High School. Coach Mallory Marhenke made her New Haven’s 1st Honorary Varsity Cheerleader. She cheered 5 seasons as a Bulldog and was recognized by the school board for her hardwork and dedication to cheerleading. After high school, she continued her cheerleading 2015-2023 was welcomed by Coach Sheenah Johnson to the Fort Wayne Madame Ants/ Mad Dancerz Dance Team. She became Fort Wayne’s favorite Mad Ants Cheerleader for the Mad Ants Basketball Team and cheered on Special Occasions for the Indiana Pacers with the Indiana Pacemate’s Dance Team. Her favorite Mad Ants players were Walt Lemon Jr and Steph Hicks. She loved the Mad Ants and Indianapolis Pacers mascots.

Breanna is survived by her mother, Kricket Lynn Doughman; grandmothers, Linda Scudder and Barbara Doughman; aunts and uncles, Tammy (Scott) Meyers, Deborah (Ron) Moser, Linda Sorgen, and Daniel (Julia) Doughman and many cousins. Breanna was truly loved by all family, friends and her fans.

Breanna was preceded in death by her father, Steven Doughman; grandfathers, John Scudder and James Doughman and two cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm with memorial visitation one hour prior at The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in the Johnny Appleseed Room.
