Beverly Ann "Bev" Doan, 72, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Hillsboro, Ohio, Beverly was the daughter of the late Owen and Marge Smith. Bev worked for Parkview as a surgical technician for many years prior to working with ENT. She changed career paths and worked as a secretary in the special education department at FWCS which she loved dearly. She enjoyed knitting, fishing, baking, taking care of her flower garden, and watching the birds on her bird feeders. Bev's first priority was taking care of her family. She had a selfless personality and was always looking to help others in need. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Steve Doan; children, Rick (Sherrye) Long, Kathy (Todd) Franks, David (Tanya Martin) Long, Brian (Kim) Doan, Deanna Jackson, Cheryl (Dan Hanes) Doan; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister Lisa (Bob) Compton. Bev was preceded in death by her biological mother, Clara Jane Smith; son, Gregory Doan; and brother, Thomas Smith. Service is 11 am, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday at the Funeral Home, Friday, September 18, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. A private burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society.
